Dedication
Mindful of the
glory reflected upon Fayetteville High School by the patriotism of the former
students
who served in World War II, grieved by the loss of those who made the supreme
sacrifice, and distressed
by the uncertain fate of those who still are missing, we , the Class of 1946,
honor the gallant alumni who
served their country in order that men, women, and children all over the world
may enjoy the blessings of
Freedom, Justice, and Peace. Trusting that their suffering has not been in
vain and that the "victories of
peace" will so engage the nations of the world as to establish Social
Security, the Brotherhood of Man,
and Happiness everywhere, we dedicate the 1946 Lafamac to PEACE.
